The Christian faith is centered on the belief in God, who is viewed as the Creator of the universe and the supreme being who governs and sustains all things. The Bible offers insight into the nature and characteristics of God, which are essential to the Christian worldview. Three of these characteristics are omnipotence, omniscience, and love.
Omnipotence refers to God's all-powerful nature, which allows Him to do anything logically possible. As stated in the book of Matthew, "With God, all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26). This means that God is not limited by anything outside of His nature. Christians find comfort in knowing God's omnipotence, as it assures them that He can intervene in their lives and perform miracles.
Omniscience, on the other hand, refers to God's all-knowing nature. God has perfect knowledge of everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen in the future. As the prophet Isaiah wrote, "Remember the former things long past, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like Me...
