Question 1
According to many studies, single study and single sample research designs have been advocated for use in primary care research. This is because it works well to investigate the variability, time course, or effectiveness of a treatment or intervention on a specific patient (Janosky, 2005). However, although the research method looks effective in these situations, I believe that a single study with a single sample would not provide convincing proof of a specific behavior. This is because the results acquired from a single subject may reveal that an intervention is effective for a specific subject. However, the percentage of the population showing this effectiveness and the extent of the benefit are unclear (Janosky, 2005). As a result, the authenticity of the findings or assumptions would be jeopardized.
