In terms of the role, customer satisfaction is always my primary goal, and I always try to establish rapport with my patients and their families. I always make sure that I hear them out and try to calm them down, and when explaining medical processes or treatment options, I do it gently. For instance, a recent patient and I discussed how I described their discharge instructions despite their worry over how they would handle their care at home. I also initiate a call light from my side and attend to patients' needs that signal through call lights without being prompted by the nurse. This is true according to the quarterly reports that I have seen. I have rated most of the patients highly on the satisfaction that we have offered them due to my commitment to making our unit more welcoming.
