In my perspective, the rapid growth of slums worldwide after 1950 is attributed to the declination of the working population in the second and third world countries. The people are forced to relocate from the rural regions to the urban areas on their own accord in an effort to take advantage of the present or anticipated economic opportunities. Available prospects stem from the growing urban informal sector hence the rapid rate of rural-urban migration. First, I think the music genre advocates for gangster acts, attitudes and lifestyles which are praised. It is reported that the overall crime rate has increased in the Caribbean culture credited to the music.
