Personal Statement:
Explain why you want to be accepted into the Nurse practitioner program. Discuss a little about yourself. Why would we choose you to be a part of our program? What can you offer to us?
About me: (just some key points to use for the essay. I’m not a great writer but want these points stand out. Want to discuss the feeling of getting up every morning in the florida keys to get up and go to clinicals for nursing school in a small fishing town, to now working in a big city in downtown at a major hospital in miami).
This is scattered around, if you can please organize it and make it stand out I would greatly appreciate it.
I am a 26 year old male. Determined to succeed and reach for the top. I’ve worked hard to get where I am today. Worked as a clerk in the ER at homestead hospital and as a bartender at the same time at a restaurant in the florida keys just to get myself through nursing school. I am a Team player. Passionate about my nursing career. I love what I do. I love being a nurse. I love caring for others and showing compassion to the patients and their families every day. I love teaching others and at the same time I love learning something new from others every day. After receiving my nursing license. I went right back to school while working full-time as a nurse to receive my bachelor of science in nursing through an online accelerated program. I’ve worked as a registered nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit for a year and six months. I deal with multi-visceral transplants, trauma patients, LVAD patients, mass casualties, I love the rush of my career and my unit. I admit when I’m wrong and am not afraid to learn from my mistakes. I believe I would make a great asset to the Nurse practitioner program because I am determined to never give up. I want to grow in my learning career and become the best nurse practitioner that I can be. I want to give back to my community and eventually work for an urgent care facility as a nurse practitioner down in the florida keys.
Please let me know if this is enough for a personal statement. Thank you.

I believe I still have a long way to go and am ready for the challenge as well as the experience. To get to the nursing school I had to take several jobs, to raise the money. Among the main jobs that I took include working as a clerk in the ER at the Homestead Hospital during the day, while at the same time I worked as a bartender in one of the restaurants at the Florida Keys in the evenings.
I have always been passionate about nursing which is why I made all the efforts to work two jobs to make sure that I got a chance to train. One of my strongest points coming to this program of nursing is that I am very passionate about taking care of the patients. As an excellent team player, I take time to learn from others as well as share with others what I know. With time and a lot of practice I have lear...
