The Problem of Freedom and Determinism
Write a 1200-1500-word paper (that’s about 4-5 pages) in which you (i) formulate and explain your favorite view in response to The Problem of Freedom and Determinism; (ii) present, explain, and evaluate your favorite argument for that view; and (iii) present, explain, and evaluate what you take to be the best argument against that view. (1200-1500 words is the ideal length. If your paper is shorter than 1200 words, it is probably not detailed or substantive enough. If it is longer than 1500 words, it probably either contains too much material or else needs to be edited for concision. Your paper should have normal fonts and margins. The papers you will be writing for this course are not research papers, in the traditional sense. We do not want you to report on what others have said about our topics. Nor do we particularly want you to seek out ideas from other sources. (In fact, we would prefer that you not do this.)
Please use compatibilism as a main argument, don't write this into a research paper, it should be focusing on your own thoughts and the language doesn't have to be formal, thanks.

The Problem of Freedom and Determinism
Human actions and behavior is an area that is extensively studied to help create an understanding of why people behave in a given way. People hold the view that humans are still developing, which indicates that their behaviors are still changing. A major influence on human actions and behaviors is external influence. The environment in which one is exposed plays an important role in determining how one acts and behaves. Illustratively, people have been seen to develop an aspect of determinism, which indicates that they are always under the constant influence of external factors. The fact that determinism acknowledges the role of external factors in people's choices and actions creates an interesting debate on whether humans possess free will in the midst of determinism. The interesting and favorite argument on freedom and determinism is that they can effectively exist together where people can still be influenced by external influences and also use free will to act and behave. Compatibilism between freedom and determinism helps in ensuring that decision making on issues in human lives is a process that involves making informed decisions based on one's exposure to make a free choice on how they will respond to the situations.
Freedom and determinism are concepts that have been closely examined due to their integral nature in defining how people live and exist. In fact, many scholars have developed an illustrative look into how people approach life situations as well as interact with each other and these situations. Freedom is a concept that has been hugely publicized to help ensure that people have the ability to make their own decisions. Personally freedom is a concept that can only be embraced from a personal point of view. A person can only have free will if they free themselves from oppressive mindsets. People's backgrounds play an important role in molding how people conduct themselves in life
