Article review: Once Again, Gun Control spurs the ‘Patriots`
From my own perspective, and referring to the article "Once Again, Gun Control spurs the ‘Patriots`" by Potok (2013), I intend to justify my arguments, concerns, observations and opinions towards this article as well as the Gun control policy as it appears. To begin with, I totally sympathize with such "Patriots" who are totally against the gun control policy in the sense that what they are doing cannot be considered patriotic since they are undermining the president`s authority together with his entire administration. Personally, I come into total agreement with the author when he argues that such patriots will remain to bear the cross of being confined within the blood of innocent people who suffered sins they had never committed at all (Potok 2013). The government has its primary role of protecting its citizens which should be met, regardless of existence of few individuals who have no respect for constitution such as "Patriots". Referring to the 1995 mass suicide where a total number of 168 citizens from Oklahoma lost their lives and ironically instead of letting the dead rest in peace, the event was politicized accusing the government of its perfidy. The author yet again touches on the slaying of innocent lives in a Connecticut elementary school where more than 26 individuals lost their lives.
