Qatar is a nation governed by Islamic values and policies. There are many things, although allowed in the country, that is subjected to religious criticism. Drinking alcohol with friends in bars or clubs is considered to be a recreational activity in many countries. However, Qatar residents cannot drink alcohol freely. Many people who drink alcohol face religious criticism because alcohol is against Islamic values. Therefore, many citizens do not drink alcohol because of religious influence. There is a negative perception that drinking alcohol is immoral. Although people can have fun and get relief from the daily pressures of life, drinking alcohol is mostly frowned upon in Qatar.
