Robert Frost’s poem, ‘The Road Not Taken” presents a subject matter of making a choice. The poem metaphorically talks about the various choices an individual has to make in life and the expected consequences.
The first stanza represents a time in life when one faces two divergent choices and has to choose one at the expense of other. In making this choice, one faces confusion, reflections, and considerations of the likely outcomes of each choice.
