The widespread increase in the overall level of public anxiety regarding the digital age era has motivated the overwhelming concern regarding the peoples’ loss of the reading and writing culture. The most affected sector is higher education because the students are unable to conduct comprehensive research (Baron 129). Not only is the education industry affected, but also the students’ day to day conversations within themselves. The internet bears the blame for the rampant increase in the number of failing students in the courses of study. There is a need to foster deep reading skills to allow the students to strike a balance in the education realm. Therefore, the best strategy to counter and implement digital technology in the classes is through establishing biliteracy.
