Personal Relationships: The Phone
Technology has played a major role in the transformation of this generation. It has provided people a means of communication, transportation, and ways to improve work efficiency in various fields. The periods without technology are characterized by edginess, time-consuming modes of transportation, and sluggish networks. The author of this paper values these factors, prompting the author to form a relationship with one part of technology through a phone.
            The mobile phone brings convenience to people because of its smaller size and convenience. It provides all the necessary means for communication and leisure. The communication that it offers is not limited to person-to-person contact but it can also be used in making transactions to other companies to communicate and negotiate the concerns for other necessities. Moreover, it can provide easier access to necessities such as food, food delivery applications, and transportation, such as the Uber application. 
Leisure can convey through the use of the applications installed on the mobile phone. This can range from mobile games to social media applications. Unlike the previous generations that mostly rely on outdoor activities to enjoy, this generation can depend on a mobile phone to provide leisure without having to go out. This is especially beneficial for an introvert and partly, the ambivert types of people who only enjoy being in contact with the least number of people.
Aesthetically speaking, mobile phones have evolved throughout time. The design started with big ones that use antennas for signaling patterns. Old units also have keypads for typing and are relatively thicker. The keypads give convenience to people who have hyperhidrosis or those people who have excessive sweating. In this way, they can type messages as much as they can without mistakes. Moreover, phone models with keypads can serve as a tactile cue for people who suffer from blindness. Thus, enabling them to use technology despite being differently-abled. Moreover, old units are also larger with larger texts which make them convenient for older people because these provide them more visual cues. 
By contrast, newer models are thinner, quite bigger with larger touched-screens, and thinner. This design is suitable for both the older and the younger populations, depending on the individual’s preferences. Thinner but larger units are handier because these weigh less than the thicker units but with wider screens that can provide larger texts. This makes it more appropriate for people who have visual problems or deficits. 
           Social interactions are also made easier through the use of mobile phones. The only requirement for a person to start a conversation without being physically present is to click a name. After choosing to whom one shall interact with, the message will just be written and sent. Additionally, emotions can also be expressed through the use of “emojis” which can describe the expression of the sender. 
           Economically speaking, a mobile phone has several benefits. First, it is pragmatic in many ways by saving time. This is because mobile phones resourceful wherein an individual can place orders, make transactions, and provide social interactions without having to move from one place to another. The time saved can be used to accomplish other tasks that require more time and effort. Such tasks can be those related to performing better jobs that can benefit the economy. Second, the price of the convenience of mobile phones can be range from low to high depending on the brand and the model. Third, the lesser the necessity of going out to make transactions, the lesser the cost that an individual must pay.
