Understanding the differences and similarities between different works of art is essential in order to understand the various thematic elements that each one has. It allows the viewer to be able to make a more meaningful reflection and appreciation of such works of art. In this paper, I would like to contrast two documentary films entitled China Blue and Bitter Seeds. Specifically, the following sections would discuss the contextual cues that could be gleaned from watching the movie. All in all, I believe that one of the most recurring themes in both of the documentaries is the effect of globalization and Capitalism on the lives of the masses.
