My Plan in Efrei Summer School
I am interested to spend part of my summer holiday by enrolling in a four-week summer school program in Efrei Summer School in Paris. There are numerous reasons why I prefer Paris over all other destinations for a summer program. Efrei Summer School is located in Villejuif Suburban, a few-minutes-drive from Paris, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Furthermore, Paris is one of the world’s top destination cities for students (Altbach 293). I believe studying in Paris is a lifetime opportunity to access international networking and a learning experience that will increase my job prospects. From my research, higher education in Paris is extremely competitive with intensive teaching and internationally recognized faculties.
While in Efrei Summer School, I intend to enhance my academic qualifications by validating undergraduate credits in Information Technology, Management, and the French language (Programs For International Students – Efrei). The Computer Science Module offers Information System Design and Conception knowledge and skills, including programming languages, modeling and project designing. These skills complement Project Planning course offered in the Management Module. I believe the combined skills will enhance my academic and technical capabilities, and put me in a better position in the job market.
On the other hand, I will be able to make friends with other international students and French engineering students who will assist in experiencing French culture and student life in Paris. Besides, the French Language and Culture Module will offer basics of the French language with cultural workshops and cultural visits in and around Paris. I find these activities interesting. Apart from accomplishing my academic goals, I will also be able to explore the tourist bit of being in a foreign society. I am looking forward to discovering the beauty of Paris by participating in as many cultural outings and activities as possible.
