The film “Twelve Angry Men” by Reginald Rose scrutinizes twelve jurors who are brought together to deliberate on a murder trial case. A nineteen-year-old man is on trial for murdering his father; besides that, this man has a prior criminal record. If the man is found guilty, the man will be executed. Before any formal discussion, the jury deliberated and voted. Surprisingly, eleven jurors vote “guilty,” while only one, Juror number eight, votes “not guilty.” Juror number eight stands out because he is the protagonist of the film. Moreover, the jurors’ personalities and attitudes emerge as they deliberate and debate. The film teaches many important lessons about leadership, governing, and collaboration. It also tells the people not to succumb to popular opinion. Throughout the film, juror number eight has used interpersonal influence tactics. To illustrate, the juror has established his credibility by being truthful and upfront in his interactions and dealings with others. The juror is very truthful and honest about his views in the film.
