Eleanor Roosevelt used to be a timid, shy girl concentrating on her family. With time, she began to gain courage and became a strong and serious leader after Franklin Roosevelt, her husband, got paralyzed. Initially, Eleanor Roosevelt was only involved in society since she felt her responsibility to keep her husband in the public eye. As time passed, she continued to impact the world, working wonders and exceptional things. As a result, Roosevelt was referred to as an unconventional first lady because she was doing things not expected of a normal First Lady.
