According to Voltaire, the man was not born with twenty pounders, but he acquired them. Besides, the man was not born with bayonets, yet they made themselves the tools. This means that man has become what he was supposed to be. The statement is true because the current man is indeed different from the unarmed man who God created (Voltaire, (2006).
