Increased fire outbreaks have seen increased death tolls in Bangladesh. This calls for an urgent attendance of the scenario, hence the necessity of a presentation to the factory owners in Bangladesh. The intension is to create an awareness of the situation in Bangladesh the leading garment supply in the world. Further it would bring to the attention of the factory owners the necessary measures that can be put in place to reduce the fire outbreaks and the deaths. Therefore, the work here in is in examination of the fire outbreaks in Bangladesh and their possible causes and the deaths they have caused.
Bangladesh garment industry has lost thousands of lives and potential works through fires. Many families have lost their breads winners through the mysterious fires that break in the factories where thousands of people work. Most of them have died in attempt to run for their safety because of lack of enough emergency exits. Most of the fire outbreaks in Bangladesh garment factories is caused by electric short circuits and poor wiring. Most of the electric equipments are old and not regularly repaired and or serviced.
Since the year 2000 over three hundred people have lost their lives in similar fire accidents in the factories. Various fires break out in different factories but the result is the same that people lose their lives. The year 2012 witnessed a deadly fire outbreak that led to over 123 deaths in the Tazreen Fashions factory.
