This essay will explore how the Renaissance transformed Europe and the world by examining its impact on economic, political, and religious development.
Economically, the Renaissance transformed Europe and the world through critical developments. One of the most significant was Columbus' discovery of America in 1492. This event opened up new trade routes and led to the exploitation of new resources, greatly enhancing European economic power (King, 2018). Additionally, the development of the caravel in Portugal under the patronage of Henry the Navigator in 1451 enabled European nations to expand their reach beyond their immediate borders, leading to the rise of global empires.
