Napoleon Bonaparte is undoubtedly one of the most authoritative and fierce leaders of his time. He rose to power between 1799 and 1841 through a coup de ’tat that overthrew the five-man directory. Napoleon’s leadership came during the French Revolution and spread all over Europe. His inception was welcomed by the French people who at the time were facing a crisis and instability (Staff). It was after his rise to power that his leadership was characterized by corruption and other vices that left the population feeling betrayed.
