Precisely, gentrification or the replacement of lower income residences with the higher income or high-end residential places is on the riseCITATION Ken01 \p 1 \l 1033 (Kennedy 1). Though such developments reflect positive growth and development across the social, political, and economic domains, the unsanctioned urban economic developments undermine their perceived positive implications on society. In essence, gentrification is a negative result of investment in poor neighborhoods that should be mitigated by government to achieve the desired outcome in modern housing and planning.
