Experience, I have worked closely with counselors in a disability counseling office, Offered emotional support for students in crisis by providing campus and community referrals. : I was selected for an award by Community college disability support staff and faculty for my outstanding service and leadership as a student disability advocate. One of my greatest experiences is that I have a physical disability that helps me to better understand people with disability and had an aunt who struggled with mental illness back in Fiji but no one helped her seek counseling because in an Indian culture there is no such thing as mental illness but rather a possessed or demonic spirit eventually her condition worsens and she committed suicide. My Life and work experience makes me the best candidate for this program.
