Warrior
Warrior is an action-packed drama TV series that was released in April of 2019. The creator of the show is Jonathan Tropper. Since its release, the show managed to generate a lot of fanfare mainly because of its high powered action drama. Currently, the show has amassed a score of 79% on Rotten Tomatoes, which shows that its reception is also quite high.

As already indicated, the show’s genre is action drama. Individuals with interest in action-drama will indeed be entertained. The notable characters in the show include Ah Sahm, Ah Toy, Young Jun, Richard Lee, Mai Ling, Bill, among others. Ah Sahm, who appears to be the show’s main character, is quite skilled in martial arts but finds himself fighting for one of the Tong factions known as the Hop Wei. His skills set him apart from the rest, and they are also the main reason why he found himself working with the Hop Wei.
Looking at the show, one notices a few themes that give a hint of the setting of the show. One theme that is obviously presented is racism. Throughout the show, the Irish Americans appear to look down upon the Chinese immigrants. The Irish believe America is their country and that the immigrants are taking what belongs to them. There is outright hatred for the Chinese immigrants with words such as ‘yellow’ and ‘chinks’ used to refer to them. Additionally, there is the notion that they smell and that they bring diseases and thus should be kept away from the white Americans.
Another theme that is quite evident in the show is the issue of employment. The inflow of immigrants leads to the availability of cheap labor. So, manufacturers substitute the native laborers with the immigrants. Complaints from the Irish Americans who believed that they deserve the jobs in San Francisco was a constant theme in the show. One of the characters known as Mr. Leary appears to have quite an influence over the Irish Americans because he appears to be fighting for their rights.
