How Communication Has Changed
Communication is one of the most significant traits of human nature. It is something that defines the way of life; a large number of modifications have been observed in recent years. These changes are both positive and negative. To begin with, there is no surprise that mobile phones and social networking websites have a large influence on our daily lives. They have changed the way people communicate with their friends and family members living in different parts of the world. Phones alone have had various positive and negative effects on people, and the same is the situation of Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and other social media sites. These days, more and more people have started using iPhones and other gadgets to speak to their clients and colleagues, and to compute things easily and conveniently. However, the situation was not the same years ago.
In 1964, nations were struggling to strengthen their economies and the world was enjoying its best ten-year performance since World War II. A large number of communication devices were developed and marketed by the Asian and European companies. The U.S. economy, which accounts for up to one-third of the world’s outputs, was experiencing one of the longest expansions in the 1960s. In those days, Bob Dylan’s timeless song had captured the rapidly changing nature of communication. Nearly twenty years ago, almost all low-income countries were challenged by the developed countries regarding their cheap, ordinary and low-quality modes of communication. So, they also began paying attention to this thing and became major contributors to the global growth. About ten years ago, the concepts of globalization and industrialization were introduced to the world.
Today, all of us have our own email accounts, whether it is a Yahoo account, Hotmail or Gmail. Emails were first introduced to the world in 1996. Communication through emails has become common nowadays. In fact, all brands, employees, and people use their own email IDs when it comes to sending or receiving messages. It is considered an instant, easy, safe and secure way of communication. In the 2000s, the concept of instant messaging was introduced to tech-oriented people, and this helped people become more globalized. Real-time chats are now at a click away. Moving on, the internet began attracting people some years ago. Though it came into being in 1999, the world took many years to know its significance, worth, and value.
