Management Style and SWOT Analysis
The self-test shows my personality is that of a command person. I have good executive skills, strong product orientation and plenty of creativity and focus. I, however, get so engrossed in achieving my goals that I miss important signs that I need to step in and take action. I am also so focused on achieving my goals that I fail to see how my actions affect other people. I also lack proper interpersonal skills.
My strength from the SWOT analysis is business oriented. I am very creative, and this allows me to have new perspectives and ideas on many issues that can improve the company. My job and technical skills are in line with my job description that makes it easy for me to accomplish my tasks in the most efficient manner. I am also committed to fulfilling my clients' needs.
My weakness is mostly on interpersonal skills. I lack proper negotiation skills which sometimes results in me losing on important deals. I also get nervous when presenting my ideas. I am compulsive about doing things quickly to remove them from my `to do` list that has adverse effects on the quality. I have enrolled on a course in communication skills that will assist in nurturing my negotiation skills and reduce my nervousness. I have also requested a colleague to look at my work to ensure its quality.
