Microbial infection in an organism leads to tissue damage. This occurs through various mechanisms but in whichever way with the microbial infection there is bound to be tissue infection. This occurs through various graft destruction through the various mechanisms. If the microbial organism has tropism for the graft, there is bound to be occurrence of direct cytopathic. This leads to release of damage associated molecular patterns as well as microbial or donor antigens also known as alloantigen (Cox, Simpson, Letts, & Cavanagh, 2014). These cause tissue damage. Again, the presence of the microbial organisms results to augmentation of direct activation of alloactive T cells by enhancing maturation of donor APCs or graft parenchymal cells. This process results to graft damage. The repeated process causes damage of the tissue of the organism which has been infected by the microbial organisms.
Control of the growth of the microbes or total elimination is crucial in the prevention of infections. The efforts include deliberations to curb the growth of the microbial or the total elimination. One process that has been highly adopted in sterilization is the heat method. When the heat method is selected as the preferred method of sterilization; it is crucial that the essential factors are considered. These are the type of heat to be used. This highly depends with the available type as well as the most convenient if there is a variety of sources to choose from. (Cox, Simpson, Letts, & Cavanagh, 2014) Time of the application of the temperature must also be considered. The applied temperature must also be keenly selected especially in relation to the load involved in the sterilization. High temperature ensures killing of the microbial organisms. When the temperature is high, there is rapid killing of the microbial organisms. This is unlike low temperatures which; although they may still end up eliminating the microbial organisms, it may take too long. Autoclaving is a common method of sterilization that is based on heating. Here temperature is applied in relation to the time.
This is also highly depended with the load to be sterilized. If the load to be sterilized is huge, then it means that the temperature should be higher and the process should also take longer time. This ensures complete elimination of the microbes because they are unable to survive in those very high temperatures. This method of using heat to eliminate the microbe or rather in sterilization is very much preferred in the scientific deliberations due to the convenience that come with it. Unlike the usage of chemicals, this process of sterilization is not harmful to the environment. Again, it is relatively cheap in consideration of the required materials. Again, it does not require so many technicalities. The process is simple such that with little instructions, one can accomplish the process. (Gertner, 2015)It is therefore a very safe method, except in consideration of the dangers associated with the heat, which is very effective in the elimination of the microbes. This is because; as long as one utilizes the required temperature, one can be sure of the total elimination of the microbes.
The mechanism of anti-microbial therapeutics against bacteria touches on the exertion of anti-microbial activity by blocking the reduction of dihydrofolate to tetrahydrofolate. This is the active form of folic acid. This is affected in the susceptible organisms. There is also production of inhibitory activity for most of the gram-positive aerobic cocci. Despite the articulations of this mechanism, at times there is resistance that emanates from various factors.
Some people may have a distorted view that a disinfectant is just a disinfectant and therefore any can be used anywhere. This is a misguided thought because; the selection of disinfectant should be guided by several factors. Although the mechanism of action of the disinfectants could be difficult to understand, it is crucial that the understood factors are considered to ensure selection of appropriate disinfectant. One crucial factor that must always be considered regardless of the variety of the usage of disinfectant is the usage. A good disinfectant should have a varied spectrum of usage. If a disinfectant is very much limiting in its usage, it is crucial to consider foregoing it for the one that has a wide spectrum of usage. This follows the understanding that the core use of the disinfectant is to kill the microbial organisms that are oriented to causing infection. When there is excessive limitation to the usage of a disinfectant, one may doubt the viability of such a disinfectant. Again, if a disinfectant has such limited spectrum of usage, there is high likelihood that it has complicated instructions for usage. This presents difficulties, because, most of times, the disinfected will be used by the casuals (who normally have little education) and they might therefore find it difficult to follow such complicated instructions.
Another crucial factor to consider is the stipulated time of action of the disinfectant (Gertner, 2015). A good disinfectant ...
