Jurgen Habermas, a German philosopher, has been one of the most outspoken opponents of postmodern theory. Habermas most recent critics of postmodernism initiate the most prominent discussion about postmodernism politics. Habermas describes himself as a champion of 'project modernity' in the face of 'antimodernism feelings of French post-structuralism. Habermas argues that modernity hasn’t yet been fulfilled as a political and a social enterprise, and proclaiming its extinction is simply a sign of desperation, a reactionary, non-conservative claim which doesn’t involve liberatory and demographic potentials.
