The US, one of the top exporting countries containing different labor sectors, is another factor that drives down the unemployment rate. The company has ensured its leadership in innovation, safety, and sustainability. However, leadership, governance, and strategy need to be improved. Therefore, it needs to act fast and follow the advice of Sengur et al. (2022) that airline firms should use innovative business models, which will lead to organizational transformation. This report delves into the company’s current business environment from a relevant contextual point of view, prioritizing safety and quality, as well as putting in place an ethical culture that fosters accountability among the leadership, streamlined decision-making processes, and strengthened board oversight with the relevant recommendations.  Governance Advisory Committee (GAC) Meeting Summary In the GAC meeting, the discussions involved three strategic questions: the company’s position at that time, where it projected itself to be, and how to achieve it. The company’s current issues include safety issues arising from the problems encountered in the Boeing 737 Max and 787 Dreamliner, bad leadership decisions such as inconsiderate pressured cost-cutting and suppression of reporting, and bad press. A critical analysis of the recent plane crashes of the Boeing 737 was conducted. This analysis led to the quitting of the executive who oversaw the program, and a replacement was brought on board. To compete effectively and improve performance despite the backlash, the company suggested innovativeness in design with increased investment in research and development annually. To prevent any Boeing plane crushes in the future, there is an ongoing change in management with the appointment of a new CEO and increasing collaborations with the FAA and governing bodies related to plane quality to enhance safety and plane standards. In doing this, Boeing will regain its initial market base by regaining its trust. The newly appointed board member also brings vast experience and thus will be able to plan and steer the company to its vision with increased revenues.  Analysis and Explanation, and Recommendations Analysis and Explanation Boeing, an aerospace industry giant, is at a crossroads in terms of various factors such as strategy, leadership, change, and governance. A multifaceted analysis based on available frameworks and first-hand experience is crucial for this task. Boeing’s strategic environment is undergoing significant transformations, so its core competencies and market position should be reconsidered. Applying the SMART strategy gives a chance to examine the level of competition and industry profitability (Baxter, 2019). Boeing has had a long history of leadership in the air industry, but now it faces intensified competition from emerging players and disruptive technologies. The 8-Step Change Model by Kotter includes valuable comments on the obstacles to organizational transformation. Richesin (2011) asserts that using the model helps organizations “to identify areas where the change initiative was weakening and pinpoint specific focus areas which would require attention and improvement” (p. 28).
