NIO is a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer and technology company known for its premium electric cars and innovative features. The acronym NIO represents New, Innovative, and Original, which signifies the company's commitment to bringing fresh and ground-breaking ideas to the electric vehicle industry. Focussing on advanced technology and sustainable transportation, NIO has gained popularity in China's Electric vehicle (EV) market and expanded internationally by offering high-performance electric SUVs, battery swapping stations, and an autonomous driving platform (Kader, 2022). Like any operational organization, NIO has faced various challenges in its supply chain, including transportation issues, supplier challenges, and demand fluctuations, as discussed below.
Firstly, NIO has encountered transportation problems that impact its supply chain. Fortunately, NIO can partner with logistics companies with a proven track record of timely deliveries, efficient operations, and expertise in handling automotive goods.
