The Tippus tiger was a mechanical toy created for The Tipu Sultan of the Mysore Kingdom of India in the 18th century (Marshall, 1991). The painted and curved wood sheathing portrays a Tiger devouring a man of European origin according to his clothing. The main aim of the creation of the Tiger was for the use of Tipus personal symbol expressing his hatred towards his enemies the East India Company Britons who oppressed and exploited his people. He depicted this in his uniforms and those of his soldiers and also the palaces decorations (Longair & McAleer, 2012).
On the other hand, The Subtlety, otherwise known as the marvelous sugar baby made from polystyrene, sugar, plastic and molasses, was created in tribute to the artisans who although overworked changed and maintained the taste of sweetness from the fields of cane into the kitchens for the Domino Sugar Refining Plant that was demolished (Als, 2014).
The central piece dominated the Subtlety. It was a white sculpture portraying a woman of African physique and took the shape of a sphinx (Als, 2014). the fifteen attendants were the versions of enlarged black moors from China that were contemporary. The main aim of the sculpture was to depict the issues of oppression, sexuality, labor, race and the ephemeral.
Notably, in the recent years, the Tipus tiger has been one of the most important sides of the museum portraying the connection between the colonization, civilization and the ethnic histories of the western and eastern worlds (Hamling & Richardson, 2010). The change of the importance of Tipus Tiger has changed over the years for he has been deemed as an object of hatred to some of his countrymen while others consider him a hero. The Subtlety in similarity depicts the sculptures of sugar that were made by black America slaves, were used in most of the aristocratic households of the Europeans as either food or decorations by this portraying the histories of the western and southern histories (Keizer, 2008).
Both objects have been valued due to their originality for they are of aesthetic value. Despite their distinctive patterns and choice of colors, they attract the audiences at first sight. Evidently, the Tiger has had a great inspiration in the works of many artists, sculptors, and poets (Hamling & Richardson, 2010).
John Keats a Poet after seeing Tipus Tiger at the museum came up with a verse that is satirical that the noise is coming from the emperor's plaything (Marshall, 1991). Notably, Jan Blet paints a portrait that shows a tiger feasting on a French uniformed soldier while an angel is trumpeting on a flower garden. The rabbit eating Astronaut sculpture by Bill Reid gives the tiger a home of humor for the rabbit keeps chomping when its tail is turned around.
The Subtlety, on the other hand, is believed to have been describing the Mammy archetype from the Southern region. Notably, due to the lead and asbestos that were found in the structure, it had to be demolished (Horne & Perry, 2017). Jamilah King, a writer from the color lines quoted that it is surprising how the white people have no interest at all when it comes to the arts that deals with race. It is believed that had the sculpture been from the White society it would have remained erect.
The two objects contrast highly in the changing significance of objects, materials, and location across time for the Tipus Tiger remains the must-see artifact in the museum highly praised by the audiences while the Sphinx of the Subtlety only reminder is the left hand after its demolition (Als, 2014). The hand is either stored in Long Island or New Jersey. It is evident that there have been a lot of changes in the initial importance of both objects. Could this be in relation to the difference in the race of the people who discovered the two?

The discovery of the Venus de Milo Changed the female beauty perspective being used in the in quite a lot of ways by feminists and the likes of Kim Kardashian who is its main prodigy. It is believed that the statue with full arms portrays the judgment of Paris Greek myth that Eris the discord goddess is pouting for the lack of invitation to a feast (Bonazzoli, et al., 2014).
Due to this, she crashes the party with an apple from the Hesperides Garden. With the act of bribing the judge from the three Goddesses that is Hera, Aphrodite, and Athena. the bribe by Aphrodite is also known as Venus wins leaving her with admiration on her face as depicted on the sculpture (Bonazzoli, et al., 2014).
Notably, the statue has been used to portray the beauty contest results ever since civilization in the western region. The nudity of females was kept on the low throughout the centuries as the male nudity became more common as they were seen even in the athletics competitions (Bonazzoli, et al., 2014). Even as it resurfaced the female’s nudity was still clinging to the wet t-shirt days as portrayed in the sculpture after the breakthrough of Praxiteles.
The ideal body type of woman starts from the ancient Egyptian history before ending with the epitome of today's beauty Kim Kardashian. The rediscovery of Venus de Milo brings about the female beauty politicization that even though it is a Greek that discovered her, it is a Frenchman that recognized her value in terms of beauty (Bonazzoli, et al., 2014). Due to this, the French government bought the statue and made her their propaganda program face. Beauty was now being used as a political commodity and weapon never seen before.
