The theme of the reading is Julie Tolentino’s own interpretation and expression of queer failure and social practice and how the dynamicity of expression both fall on the same scale, whether failure or success, but intricately generates movement, possibility and ultimately evolution through change. The theme highlights the essence of presentation and performance, as an avenue of expressing ideas that may not necessarily be conforming to societal standards.
