In the Constitution of the United States of America, the 15th Amendment was formalized in 1870. The amendment allowed African-American men to vote. Women were not privileged to vote when making the amendment a treaty. Even though it was a milestone for civil rights movements, it split as the women's rights movement created tension as it did not include women's suffrage. Essentially, the women's rights movement of the 19th century was a diverse movement with different objectives. For instance, Susan B.
