Future of HRIS
Without a doubt, the future will have more and better technological inventions, and HRIS will increasingly become part of many organizations. My critical concerns about managing information security and privacy in the future include human error, disgruntled employees, and other internal attacks. Humans are going to be part of future HRIS, and this raises the potential for security threats. Kavanagh et al. (2015) noted that human errors like the incorrect entry of data and accidental data destruction make up security threats to the integrity, accessibility, and availability of information. Whether current or former, disgruntled employees pose a concern since they have extensive knowledge of the organization's systems. Other internal attacks may occur from contract workers who gain temporary access to an organization's systems. I believe these are some of the threats we will experience as we go into the future.
