Like all manufactured products, the iPhone 5 C models had to undergo either the manufacturing or the engineering processes. What is the meaning of these two terms? The manufacturing processes could be elucidated as the steps involved in transforming raw materials into the product. It begins with the conception of raw materials before making the designs and developing a product. This process also includes checks and tests that ensure the product meets the required market standards (Groover, 2010). The term engineering process is used to describe an engineering branch that focuses on industrial processes. The technology (iPhone 5 C model) only required the manufacturing process (Groover, 2010). Therefore, this paper discusses the manufacturing process, the potential defects, and how to maximize the manufacturing process for the iPhone 5 C models.
The Manufacturing Process
The iPhone 5 C model is manufactured with the precision to expect from an exceptional phone. The metal structural element is used like a multi-band antenna, which was previously in the iPhone 4 models. The steel cover is enclosed into a single, smooth piece of polycarbonate before it is secured with a bonding agent.
