Part 1: Consider a personal conflictual experience in which you were involved that was caused or exacerbated by poor communication. Describe the conflict, the communication failure, and the eventual result. Then explain, with specific references to material from this week’s readings, what could have been done differently (by you, or the other party) to more effectively communicate, and how it might have changed the outcome. Part 2: Consider a personal experience in which you were involved in which you or the other party were able to use effective communication skills to avoid or defuse a conflict. Describe the experience and the communication, and explain why it was effective in avoiding or resolving the conflict. Present this information in an essay approximately 2 pages in length.
