Click on "take a test".
Scroll to the bottom of the next page and read through the consent form.

What did you think about the reasons that Project Implicit exists? Are they valid reasons?I thought that Project Implicit’s existence to educate the public about their biases is interesting, informative, and necessary (Project Implicit, n.d.). Implicit bias is being prejudiced or passing unfounded judgments for or against an individual, a group, or a thing unfairly. The social issue comes about due to social arrangements in society, where certain groups believe they are supreme over others, leading to these kinds of biases being everywhere. They are founded on one’s experiences, education, and background and are mostly unconscious (Seccombe & Kornblum, 2018). Thus, it is valid to know about them and understand their foundation in people’s lives so we can make significant social changes to avoid them, especially in profound fields such as education and health, among others, where diversity is inevitable.
Another reason the project exists is to help people reflect on the impact of their biases on their beliefs, actions, decisions, and attitudes. As a social issue engrained in the social arrangement of society, it tends to offer one group an advantage while disadvantaging others. These biases cause people to have altered views about some people, act differently towards and in front of others, and develop varying attitudes depending on with whom they are dealing (Seccombe & Kornblum, 2018).
