After watching the video clip, please respond to the following:
In approximately 1-2 pages, consider the following elements and how they impact this conflict. Make sure to reference the resource materials used to respond to this prompt with APA-compliant in-text citations and references.
(1) Start with a brief description of the conflict (limit this to one sentence). Tell the reader whether this conflict is interpersonal or intrapersonal. THEN:
(2) Then, analyze the conflict in terms of the following categories, providing details to describe how each element affects the subject conflict. Your discussion of these elements should include references to the textbook, as it is the primary resource for this assignment. You also have a number of other resources you may use to respond to these questions; however, remember that your goal is to demonstrate you learned the material and can correctly apply it in a practical way.
Consider the history of this conflict, to which the parties make reference throughout this argument, and how it impacts the conflict we are watching today. Make sure to apply these considerations to BOTH parties in the conflict.
Elements:
Communication
Emotion
Values
Structural Forces
The needs of the parties
Survival Needs
Interest Needs
Identity Needs
Considering what you learned from the materials this week, and your observations about conflict styles and the power dynamics of this conflict, what could the parties do to better address this conflict?
It is important that you address every element above.
NOTE: When you watch this week's mini-lecture video, I refer to a "worksheet" for this assignment. This is because the assignment was originally presented as a worksheet. However, during recent updates, the content was embedded above, rather than supplied as an attachment. The references to a worksheet relate to the above questions.
