Introduction
Sophie Bissonnette's documentary is an analysis of the hypersexualization in our society which is surrounding our children. This unhealthy culture is propagated by marketing and advertising that targets and influences children and younger audiences. The marketing and advertising platforms bombards our children with sexual and sexist images that gradually turns them into sex objects (Bissonnette, et al. 2007). Sexy Inc. is a film that suggests various ways for the society to counter hypersexualization and the eroticization of childhood. The film invites the viewers to rally against this worrying phenomenon.
This unhealthy culture apparently intensifies and encourages sexual exploration by our children at a very tender age. Though it is not explicitly addressed to girls, girl child has been targeted more in comparison to the boy child. One of the most important observations that psychologists have come to notice over the last decade is a marked shift in the age demographics of problems relating to sexuality (Strouse, et al. 2010). This position has been supported by the American Psychological Association Task Force on the Sexualization of Girls (Bissonnette, et al. 2007).
The film showcases how young girls in Canada, and beyond are being commoditized, sexualized and objectified in more intense ways. The media is a powerful force of influence on how we view gender. The advertising media representations of girls and boys has a high degree of hypersexualization which affects all genders of children.  It is important to understand that the media depictions of social life as well as young girls and boys contribute to a great extent of how we understand our society and the place of girls and boys in it (Buckingham & Briggs, 2003). 
Content Analysis
The content analysis that can be used includes ads in magazines, music videos, musical lyrics and billboards among others.   In the past couple of years, young girls have been presented as by a model that emphasizes the aspect of being "hot" for them to be popular. This model of "hotness" is especially propagated by the media where girls are seen as sexual objects
(Levin & Kilbourne, 2008).
Songs such as Britney Spear’s song "I'm a slave for you," also advocates for that notion. Sophie’s documentation showcases how a group of teenage girls are being critical of how some artists were “sold out”. The girls cites Avril Lavyn whom they initially idolized as a role model because unlike Britney Spears, her of image was appealing according to them. They however starts to despise her after she turned into her antithesis Nelly Furtado. We can also see the girls being even more critical to the likes of 50 Cents (Bissonnette, et al. 2007). One can’t fail to note the phenomenal popularity of the highly sexualized Bratz Hollywood Dolly to those group of girls. In a general perspective, the unusual reflective nature of those teenage girls and the intense sexual and aesthetic power of the clips provided in the film leaves one to wonder whether there is any chance to have a peer group discussion against the market and the media in the society we are living in (Levin & Kilbourne, 2008).
Fashion is also another element that propagates this unhealthy culture. Fashion can be portrayed by clothing which in the current culture has been highly eroticized especially for little girls. It is important to note that while boys have no problem wearing oversized t-shirts and baggy pants, the young girls are encouraged to put on “sexy” clothing such as spaghetti straps thongs and tank tops. The word "Sexy" are commonly appearing on children’s clothes. It is alarming that one can easily get a G-string for an eight-year-old girl (Bissonnette, et al. 2007).
More Focus On The Girl Child
Although, this hypersexualization affects both genders, there is a more focus on the girl child. A "normal" little girl in our culture today is expected to wear belly blouses and short skirts. Religion has nowadays been replaced by shopping where a young girl will be spotted carrying a purse inscribed with such words as "I love shopping". According to the film Sexy Inc. by Sophie Bissonnette, young girls can nowadays buy padded bras from the Bratz Company (Bissonnette, et al. 2007).
