It has led to diverse health and educational disparities with far-reaching ramifications. Racial Health Disparities The reviewed materials highlight diverse health disparities in America. For instance, two of the central racial inequalities comprise diminished life expectancy and reduced health insurance coverage among the minority population (Adler et al., 2016). The authors reveal that a significant proportion of the minority population remains incapable of accessing screening and preventable care due to a lack of insurance coverage. Adler et al. (2016) further indicate that their disadvantaged group exposes them to worse health statuses across the lifespan, diminishing their life expectancy.
