Humans ascribe or identify with their immediate environment which includes culture and the community. Our development and growth come from what is common to us. Essentially, a man is a product of a society which is created by the man himself making social order both a human product and an ongoing human production. Therefore, I largely agree with Luckmann and Berger’s argument on habitualization and instinct deprivation.
Interactionalism, especially on the social context, creates conformity to a given set of behaviors and actions. We drive our instincts from past experiences which stem out of the very society we live in. Importantly, habitualization indicate that repeated actions yield patterns that become institutionalized.
