Literature Review Research Matrix
In Week 2, you were introduced to literature mapping as part of the preparation for a literature review. This assignment consists of a completing a research matrix, which is type of literature mapping/organizing that uses a table format. This matrix includes research concepts that can be found and connected to the published scholarly research provided by your instructor. Four research articles have been selected for you to read and dissect for completing the research matrix (table). The articles for this assignment are posted in the Announcements area of the courseroom. In the Literature Review Research Matrix [DOCX], a sample article is completed for you as an example; you will need to complete the matrix for the remaining four articles
Assignment Instructions
Fill out the Literature Review Research Matrix [DOCX] with research concepts connected to the topic selected for this quarter. Your instructor will provide the articles you are to use in the Announcements area of the courseroom. A sample article has been completed for you as an example. Please use accurate APA style and format for your citations and references in this assignment.
Please note that the first row of data is meant as an example. Please read the example article (Gonzalez & Blackford, 2022) as a guide for how to dissect each article assigned.

Graduate students, online education, student engagement, inter-role conflict, intrinsic motivation
Hypotheses:
H1a
Intrinsic motivation is positively associated with learning outcomes as measured by self-reported learning.
H1b
Intrinsic motivation is positively associated with learning outcomes as measured by grades.
H2a
Engagement mediates the positive relationship between intrinsic motivation and self-reported learning.
H2b
Engagement mediates the positive relationship between intrinsic motivation and grades.
H3
The positive relationship between intrinsic motivation and engagement is moderated by work-school-family inter-role conflict, such that as conflict increases the relationship will weaken.

Online graduate students, average age of 34.34, 94% had FT job, 73.3% female, 57% had dependents.
Quantitative
Longitudinal/survey design
Intrinsic motivation is stronger when higher levels of student engagement are present. Researchers found a significant positive relationship between intrinsic motivation, learning, and grade outcomes. Finally, an inter-role conflict weakened the relationship between motivation and engagement. The outcome is more positive when students feel more control over their course experiences.

COVID-19 seemed to be a natural occurrence influenced by God. Some populations viewed COVID-19 as a scam from secret societies to minimize the human population and instill fear among people. Online discussions and tutorials appeared to be complex, boring, and exhausting. The lack of necessary devices is a major setback for online learning. Unreliable internet hindered effective learning. Other challenges included difficulty accessing online platforms, loneliness, lack of enough learning environment, lack of practical skills, and social-cultural practices. Learning comfort and flexibility, easy assessment mechanisms, family and counseling support, seeking assistance, frequent communication, time management, and control over the learning environment could help to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.
