Juvenile and adult criminal justice systems share various similarities based on the correction of crimes, but there are notable differences between the two. For instance, juvenile courts employ practices that are designed to aid the youth wrongdoer to go back on track to taking part in a non-criminal lifestyle rather than joining an adult offender. On the other hand, the adult criminal justice system focuses on punishing criminal behaviour. In contrast, the juvenile system pays attention to rehabilitation or assisting the youth in understanding their crimes and modifying their behaviours to become working groups of the community.
Both juvenile and adult criminal justice systems show some glimpses of their suitability for restorative justice. However, the adult system seems more suitable as most juvenile offenders are not proponents of the juvenile system. Younger
