1. Is it possible to have a moral foreign policy?

2. From the U.S. perspective, why is it understood that Islamism succeeded where pan-Arab nationalism failed?

3. Is democracy or autocracy better for US foreign policy in the Middle East? Why?

4. Explain how U.S. foreign policy is formulated. What are the influences? The constraints? Who has the power to exercise it?

5. Will the U.S. and its allies ever “win” the War on Terror?
