Discussion Board (Conflicts between individuals and small groups)

So hello, This is not a an essay nor any research paper. The instructions to this assignment is pretty straight forward, So my proff has assigned Online Discussion board on the blog and the topic is (Conflicts are most intense between individuals and small groups that have many things in common) Us students, we are supposed to respond to each discussion using our own opinions and REFERRING to the textbook and the readings that are assigned in that discussion board. So i will copy and paste the syllabus so you can read what my professor expects the discussion to be, i will also copy and paste the answers what students so far has responded to this topic. The syllabus mentioned \" Discussion Board: Each week, students are expected to react to a topic for debate posted by the Professor on the Blackboard Discussion Board. Students should respond to each week's debate topic in at least 150 words, and are encouraged to add comments to each other's entries following the same rules of respectful critical engagement that apply to our in-class discussion forum (see discussion board protocol below). Each student's entry should take a position in response to the question or topic by referring to concepts in that week's readings and illustrate with some empirical examples. Each week's reaction must be posted on Blackboard BEFORE the beginning of EACH class. Online Discussion Board grades will be assessed as follows: A= The student posts a reaction of approximately 150 words in at least 9-10 weeks (the first and last seminars are not required), the reaction takes an insightful position on the topic for discussion, makes specific connections to concepts in that week's readings, and draws on examples from current events (either local, national or international). The student routinely adds insightful comments to other students' posts that further the online discussion. B= The student posts a reaction of approximately 150 words in at least 7-8 weeks, the reaction takes a position on the debate topic, makes connections to concepts in that week's readings and provides some empirical examples. Most weeks, the student adds adequate comments to other students' posts to further the online discussion. C to D= The student posts a reaction of approximately 150 words in at least 5-6 weeks; the reaction takes a position on the debate topic and shows some connections to that week's readings. Some weeks, the student adds relevant comments to other students' posts to further the online discussion. Discussion Board Protocol: - Check the discussion frequently and respond on topic. - Use content-specific subject headings (e.g., \"oil sands in Alberta\" versus \"my posting\"). - Avoid posting several of your contributions at the same time and/or at the last minute. - Be professional and respectful in your postings. - Indicate reference information (a name and page number is good) for ideas you borrow either from our book or from other outside sources. - Respect the expectation of privacy and refrain from inviting non-class members to read other students\' postings without their permission. - Think carefully about being humorous or sarcastic; it is very easy for tone to be misinterpreted in a non-face-to- face setting, and something meant to be harmless might easily be read by someone else as intentionally offensive. - Note that capitalized words are generally interpreted as you SHOUTING, so you might want to avoid using them.\" Pages to read are from 2-12, in order to respond to the discussion (Conflicts are most intense between individuals and small groups that have many things in common) i will also upload the other reading that you are assighned to read in order to respond to the discussion which is pdf. For the respond i expect for example, you may write, \"as X author argued....\" to back up a claim or particular stand you are taking. You might also reference a given concept or theory to strengthen your stance in this discussion. I want to see evidence that you have done the week\'s readings and can apply the content of those readings to a particular debate.
