The method helps many people cope with their life challenges as it usually works best on patients with a desire to a treatment that is proactive and present oriented (Ellis, 1986). However, rational emotive behavioral therapy method lends itself to some social conditions such as depression that is affecting women more than men.

The two methods have similar constructed and commonalities that lead to the success in achieving the goals (Lawrence, 1987).
