When I started practicing as an advocate, one of the unique things that I learned was about a social issue. I understood that social issues make people struggle to attain their full potential. Furthermore, I understood that even though people suffer because of the social issue, others benefit from its existence. These individuals set up structures to ensure this social issue does not change. An advocate has to actively advocate for ways to help manage the social issue to save the individuals from suffering.
