8-1: The future of the counseling profession looks bright to me, as counselors get a chance to meet new clients on a daily basis and there is always room for improvement for all of them (Lee & Zalkalne, 2017). I firmly believe that mental health professionals gain sufficient knowledge and are capable of developing standard models of counselor competencies, such as abilities, skills, and knowledge. However, it would be better for them to work along with other health professionals so that patients can receive quick and reliable treatment or therapy options.
