The paper looks at the impact of addressing one of the major root causes of the housing inequality issue, segregation, and explains how addressing it would render the policy more effective. Also, it explains the role of human service professionals in advocating for change and the lessons drawn from the course.
Role of Human Service Professionals’ Knowledge in Informing Policy
Social workers have a crucial role in advocating on behalf of individuals and communities for equal access to basic resources such as housing, health, and food. human professionals have a role in advocating for policy by providing expert information to individuals to empower them to fight for their rights. The professionals can find changes within the policy that would impact people such as the underserved, marginalized groups, and underrepresented.
