Unit 7 Journal The major purpose of setting goals is to give yourself a path or direction. What would you like to do in 1, 5, or 10 years? Setting goals helps you decide the direction. M Measurable * Identify how you will achieve your goal. * How will you know when you have reached it? * There are two types of goals - performance goals and outcome goals. Keep in mind that you will always have more control over performance than you will over the outcome, so set master’s and doctorate certificates, two years of experience, and complete performance goals whenever possible.  I intend to measure my progress by obtaining an undergraduate degree.
