As a team, create a 6–8 slide team PowerPoint presentation for a personal development day on how applied behavior analysis strategies can be implemented in the school setting and the importance of legislation that supports individuals with disabilities. Scenario: You are a BCaBA in a large school district and currently work as the lead behavioral specialist. You and your team of behavior specialists have been asked to present to faculty in your school district for a personal development day. Specifically, the district has asked you to speak on the following items: 1-Describe the components of the IDEIA 2004 (Free Appropriate Education, Least-Restrictive Environment, Early Intervention, Extended School Year and the ESSA 2015) and how these support individuals with disabilities. Include the definition of a disability and an explanation of what qualifies individuals for this legislation. 2-Explain how to implement ABA strategies in the classroom setting including positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, motivating operations, group contingencies, operant conditioning, and preference assessments. 3-Discuss how to utilize culturally sensitive strategies to promote daily engagement and set students up for success.
