It is important to learn and practice how to find research articles in an electronic academic library. In the library, conduct a search in the Advanced Search mode in the EBSCO Discovery Service by following the steps below: Click on the following: EBSCO Library Search In Search Options, scroll down to the "Limit your results" area and be sure that "Full Text" and "Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals" are both checked for each search you do. Enter a search term for a psychological topic of interest to you (e.g., anxiety, depression, or autism) and add "research study" to the end of your search term in the following location. For example, if you chose to look for articles about "emotional intelligence," you would type "emotional intelligence research study" as your search term. This helps to ensure that your search yields research articles instead of review papers or commentaries. From the search results, choose one research article to focus on for this week's Discussion Board. Using the information from the research article, please respond to the following: What is the difference between a research article and a review article? How do you know that your article is a research article? What was the topic the researchers were studying? If they stated their hypothesis, what was it? Who was in the study, and what were they asked to do? What were the main findings of the study? What additional information do you think would be interesting to know on this topic?
